Can you build the whole booking step on my site?
It depends on what FareHarbor approves for your account, so we do not promise it. FareHarbor grants External API access “on a case by case basis”. You ask through your Account Manager or FareHarbor Support.6 FareHarbor’s partner page is about API distribution partners: online travel agencies, the FareHarbor Distribution Network and affiliate tools. It has no category for an agency building an operator’s own website.7 FareHarbor’s developer docs offer the External API to Affiliates and Software Partners, and requests are reviewed for eligibility.6 FareHarbor’s pages do not say how long approval takes. So we ask FareHarbor with you before we start.
Can I restyle the FareHarbor overlay to match my brand?
Not much. FareHarbor’s help says what you can change is which view opens: an item, the calendar or a list.3 The embedded calendar’s colours and fonts are “not currently customizable”.1 For a more branded look, FareHarbor’s own blog points to FareHarbor Sites.2 We work around it: the pages and everything around the booking are designed with you, on your own domain.
Can I put the FareHarbor booking inside an iframe on my site?
FareHarbor’s help says its links “will not function properly if they’re set within an iframe embed”.3 Its GA4 guide adds that purchase events may not be recorded if the Lightframe sits in a custom iframe.4 We do not wrap FareHarbor in an iframe of our own. How the booking step connects is what we ask FareHarbor about, with you, before we start.
Does my FareHarbor keep running the back?
Yes. Your account, calendar and bookings stay in FareHarbor. We build the website guests see and use around it.
Does your site remove FareHarbor’s fees?
No. The guest pays FareHarbor’s Booking Fee at checkout.5 FareHarbor’s Terms also say a provider may be charged an API Fee for bookings made from third-party websites through the API.8 What FareHarbor charges is FareHarbor’s call, not ours.
What do I pay, and when is the site live?
In three payments: a part up front, a part at launch, and a last part 90 days after launch, which you pay only if your website booked more than in the same 90 days last year. We go through the numbers on the call. First we ask FareHarbor, with you, how far the booking step can go for your account. That answer is in FareHarbor’s hands. Once we have it, your site is live within thirty business days.
Can I see my tour homepage before I decide?
Yes. We design a homepage for your tours for free and show it to you on a call. You decide after.
Do you build for other tour companies too?
Yes. Read more about websites for tours and activities and websites for adventure trips. Comparing systems? See our pages for Rezdy and Bókun.
